      Political minefield even more prevalent than at most organizations

      Pros

      Good pay Some very bright people Harmonious environment when the economy is good Opportunity to network with an incredible customer base The brand has a solid reputation

      Cons

      Never seen people who are so deceitful to one another Immediate manager is where loyalties need to be had Company refuses to innovate due to the cost of certification Focus is entirely on the pilot, not the individual writing the check The stubbornness of older managers blind them of the companies true fatal flaws Mass layoffs are common in every department Industry as a whole is extremely volatile No diversity (I mean none) and a very old average work force.

      Pros

      Great people to work with. No one ever got in trouble for asking questions and everyone was willing to share their knowledge.

      Cons

      The senior leadership team. Cessna would seem to be floundering, not sure if they even want to design and build new aircraft any more. It has been made clear to the employees that upper management does not want to hear anything negative and it can be a career limiting move to bring up negativity.

      Pros

      Cessna continually promotes from within as well as developing talent from outside.

      Cons

      In several cases, the "best" candidate for a position was overlooked due to degree requirements. In some cases, the candidate was already an employee and had been doing the job.
