You are on call 24/7, 365 days a year and Upper management does not care about lower management. They will quickly throw you under the bus to save their own skin. They will tell you they are on your side and that they want to help you, but they don't follow thru. The particular role I was in had nothing to do with aviation maintenance as described in the job description and everything to do with money and they expected you to lie and fudge the numbers if it meant they would make more money.
