Pros

Good pay for that part of the country. Good tuition reimbursement. Good pilot program.

Cons

Promotes people who are the laziest, dumbest, most inexperienced in all departments. Will promote a 21 year old boy out of the military with no job experience over a long time Cessna female employee with a PhD.

Pros

Great work/life balance. Every couple years there's a "crunch" time where 60 hour weeks are commong, but it usually only lasts for a couple months. Not too bad. Cessna does pay overtime if you're under a certain pay grade, so it can be an opportunity for extra income. Pay is good for the midwest. Company is friendly and relaxed at times, which makes for a fun environment.

Cons

Sometimes projects can get cancelled and there is a lot of report writing since we have to appeal to the FAA.

Salaries are good for the Wichita area They make really good products you can be proud of Once you're in, you're in. May not be a lot of options to move up, but lots of lateral movement Things are changing rapidly, it could get better

Cons

The health insurance is awful. You could be laid off at any second Major culture clashes between Beech and Cessna employees make everyday work difficult People who came from Cessna and from Beech are treated very differently If you leave, you are not eligible for rehire - EVER Only interns/college grads can be hired. No experienced people. A lot of really miserable people there
