      Benefits, Starting Bonus, Training, Job Security, Union Representation.

      Cons

      Each aircraft division has a backlog of aircraft. A lot of time is spent waiting for aircraft to be ready to work on. In avionics, sometimes you may wait 1 - 2 weeks to be able to put power on an aircraft before you can do assigned tasks. In the meantime, technicians have to look busy so the high up don't see you standing around. This is very demoralizing.

      Pros

      Opportunities to learn, Job security, large variety of airframes, quarterly and yearly bonuses.

      Cons

      Fast paced environment. You either adapt and become faster/more efficient or you’ll have a rough time. I personally enjoy the challenge of meeting or exceeding the job “flat rates” but it’s definitely not for everybody. If you want to do the bare minimum and get paid good, go work for an airline.
