Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and for being an important part of the mission of delivering excellent care to our nation's men and women in uniform in the San Antonio Military Health System. We pride ourselves on taking care of our team members who contribute to service member care, and we appreciate the feedback. As you pointed out, unfortunately, there is not a work-from-home option at this particular worksite because the Department of Defense's call center software does not have that capability. We have been recommending that they deploy virtual call center software, but ultimately we don't have control over their facility. We’d be interested in learning more about the opportunities you see for us to improve. Please consider reaching out to me (Sam in the corporate office). It would be great to have a conversation to get more of your thoughts.

Pros

Arora is dedicates to serving a higher mission: providing care for American heroes. You can come to work feeling like the work you do really matters at a fundamental level. For that reason Arora and its mission customers have very high expectations for the performance of its team members, both for the clinical personnel as well as the corporate support team. This is a good environment for high performers and, especially in the corporate office, those with an entrepreneurial spirit. Although the company has a nationwide reach (and overseas), it has a tight-knit feel, which I like. The project management and recruiting team principally is made up of retired service members who care deeply about the mission of supporting active duty service members and their families, and I learn so much working with them every day. The recruiting team are really helpful in giving candidates an accurate picture about open positions and helping them to find the right fit for them and for our customers. Over the last ten years, I've probably met a few hundred of our clinicians, and they are committed mission-driven professionals who care deeply about their patients and the mission. I love working for Arora.

Cons

Because expectations are high and they give you a lot of freedom to get your job done, this could be a challenging place for some individuals who need constant guidance. For those working at client locations (e.g. military bases), a lot of the culture can be driven by the leadership in the hospital or base, so you may love Arora but have a totally different uniformed day-to-day manager over clinical operations.
