A leader in biomedical science

Pros

The Broad Institute is an excellent place to learn and contribute to cutting-edge biomedical science. The Broad sets the standard for high-caliber, high-throughput scientific investigation, and consistently shapes the way the world thinks about some of the most difficult challenges to human health. It's also an extraordinarily inclusive environment and accepting of all walks of life and cultures. The Broad invites and nurtures excellence, but also accepts very early career scientists with a commitment to providing mentoring and career guidance.

Cons

The Broad could work on improving the job architecture and be more transparent with salaries and job responsibilities matrix. While the Broad is competitive as far as academic employment, it is plausible that appreciating the workforce could improve productivity and inspire creativity.

Pros

The space is very well-organized (tidy)

Cons

Not accommodating of disabilities, in my experience. Also seem to only hire people who are White or Asian for science roles despite Cambridge being very diverse
