Pros

The best reason to work at TCP is the discount on the childrens clothes. To be honest, that's the only good thing about working there!

Cons

They have cut payroll tremendously. So if you are a "salaried" employee, plan on working LOTS of overtime, because you are the only person they do not have to pay anything extra to. You will work 50-70 hrs per week. You have no quality of life!!!!

Pros

The company has a strong business model. The Children's Place has a company philosophy that it teaches to all new hires. the company supplies all of the necessary tools to run the store. The pay is based on experience and store volume. I felt the benefits and overall compensation was fair.

Cons

With high volume comes high workload. This is a labor intensive job, even at the management level. Payroll budgets are tight. New direction comes quickly and often. Must be willing to change direction on a dime.

Pros

Personally the location I am at the entire staff is great & we are get along so well & treat each other professionally but like we are friends. Our staff wants to reach goals due to the support they receive from management. We appreciate our team & make it known. Pay & benefits are also the best I've had in my 4 years in retail management.

Cons

If you are ready to work 12-16 hours days on a whim because corporate wants to throw a ton of store changes at you at 6:30pm and tell you "you cannot leave until this is done but you may not go over payroll" then this is the job for you. My own husband had to use his PTO just to see me one week! It's quite ridiculous & if that does come up, don't expect a break!
