Pros

There are some good people there, buildings are prominent NYC buildings with high levels of sustainability.

Cons

Performed layoffs in an unprofessional and disorganized way, leaving people crying at their desks for hours until being dismissed. Company lacks professional leadership, specifically from the COO & HR. Isn't honest about their lack of revenue within the industry. Does not promote. Low pay. Favoritism.

Great benefits and beautiful properties.

Cons

A recent reorganization led to the layoff of 20% of the corporate workforce. Was executed in an unprofessional manner with no notice nor care for the employees' lives or how they were affected. Glad loyalty is a core value at Durst. Sad I felt the need to share this instead of looking for work elsewhere.

Pros

Some good people there, many others are just hired since the business is more of an adult daycare than a real company.

Cons

Worst COO in the history of COOs works here. The entire company is mismanaged and I have serious doubts it will even last much longer. They think their secrets stay in the company but the whole industry is talking about them and their horrible investment decisions right now. When you sit in a room and hear the way leadership makes decisions, it is truly frightening. Please stay away and go work for a developer who knows how to build successful ground up projects.
