They lie. They told all the student employees that they will not be firing anyone. A few months later, everyone got laid off and their rent skyrocketed. They have no idea what they are doing in student housing and have very little experience. The residents noticed an OBVIOUS shift from the last management from caring to corporate. They truly care about money. Duty phones went from iPhones to free phones. These were so bad that when anyone called, we couldn't tell who was calling since the screen was loading all the time. They promised appropriate training and certifications for their maintenance and never followed through. They blocked competitor websites from their web services. Current residents were unable to look at other options to compare pricing and amenities. I reached out to get my W2 form, and they can not find me as an employee in their system. This is a major red flag. They were unaware of California renter laws. They operated as if California was the same as Texas. I shouldn't have to tell my Regional Manager that we cant do something or else we will be sued. They should be educated and know what they are doing.

Do not rely on being paid on time and in full. Constant payroll issues. They close payroll on you and then tell you to get paid the next pay period even though you worked during the pay period. If I worked during the pay period I should be paid rightfully so. Instead someone completes payroll early and then when you submit your time to be adjusted they say its closed and to wait until next paycheck. People rely on their pay checks just like they rely on employees to do the work. It should not take a month to correct payroll issues. Supervisors do not want to pay for all time, they feel if it was just a phone call or something quick then they should not have to pay.
