Cons

no benefits for designers, unorganized, boring, poor management, focus all time on sales staff and recruiting, everyone is easily replaced in staff eyes

Flexibility, be your own boss, probably rewarding for the right personality.

Cons

Overall, team members and those who already had their magazines up and running in my city were non-communicative, competitive, and it became clear they did not want to see another person working in this geography.

Hi there, When you were working with us, were you ever able to share this perspective with your sales leader? We'd love to know this area so we can best address the issue. We do hope that, regardless, we'll be able to make improvements and give a much more positive experience to others on our team. To do this, we have, in the past year, taken extra care to identify the areas of greatest fit for our product. Since we've been placing people more strategically in these territories of greatest need, we've found that our current team is more than excited to bring on new people to fill that need. I started with N2 Publishing in January of 2011. I traveled to training in Chicago and everything was explained in detail. I was given a "Best Practices" for all the important parts of the N2 program, how to schedule appointments, complete a sales call, close the sale, contact the neighborhood, develop content, involve residents. Everything worked as they had said it would as long as I was following the program. That pretty sums up my experience, the basics work as long as I am working. I love the company and the leadership and would recommend to anyone. I am home every evening by 6pm as not much work happens at night or in the evenings. I took 10 weeks of vacation each year for the past 3 years. I own my publications and I feel like a business owner but have incredible support from the leadership of N2. My pay is totally based on my work and results and there is no politics that I can see.

Cons

For someone who is not self-disciplined this would be a challenge. That is the only draw back I can see.
