Extensive training; work with passionate people; hands on behavioral research opportunities, exposure to ABA, IEPS and educational materials; Cheap graduate programs

Cons

If you are on Residential/SIU - schedule (work weekends, nights, 12 hour days); encourage staff to do large amounts of overtime Physically and emotionally demanding - high risk of injury possible High staff turnover

Opportunities to conduct research to benefit the students you're directly working with, all staff have same ABA training/experience(s) to relate, work as a team, and problem solve with like-minded solutions.

Cons

Stressful, hard to "leave work" because there is always a new idea or improvement to be made.

Pros

-The pay is decent when compared to other places like NECC. -You can get a job right out of undergrad. -You get face-to-face experience working with kids with disabilities and autism.

Cons

-You have to work at least one 12 hour day per week (Almost always falls on a weekend). -You can get seriously injured on the job especially in the Staff Intensive Unit. -You have to work basically every holiday. -The senior administrative staff gets 100% preferential treatment and doesn't listen to the employees under them. -They expect you to know how to do things with little to no training. -Little to no ability to move up in the company. -Raises/bonuses when you are already hired are incredibly difficult. -Little chance of actually receiving the legally allotted "research hour" per every 8 hours you work.
