Pros

Flexible hours and schedule. Plenty of opportunities to train for different test types, different areas of the business and different geographic locations.

Cons

Pay rate is well below industry average. Company does not pay mileage. Salary increases are not done annually so the hourly wage remains flat.

Pros

Great people, friendly environment. The paid time off increases from 17 days to 22 days after 3 years of service. Location was very convenient in Manhattan but then moved to Massachusetts.

Cons

Crazy amount of changes in management due to investors buying the company out. I had 10 managers in a 1 year period. I hope and am confident things have settled by now.

Challenging Times Ahead

Pros

Working at IAC has a been a treat. Great building, snacks, and perks. They try to keep you happy.

Cons

The commute can be an obstacle. Senior management has changed twice since I started. With the merger/acquisition many people were let go. Moral is low. Especially in departments like Finance, moral is very low and turn over is high. The Princeton Review, while having a strong brand, is rather bland and faceless as a company/culture. You would be hard pressed to find a reason to work here over another better equipped tech company. Company performance since the M&A has sagged and flatlined in several key markets. Online is performing well but not enough to keep the company a float. This is speculation, but perhaps the exiting executives could see the writing on the wall. The company(s) did not turn around as expected and failed to meet performance requirements.
