Pros

Free or Reduced Price Food Free or Reduced Price admission to Cultural Attractions across the US

Cons

Everything Else. Literally Everything Else Lack of Support from Upper Management Regional Leadership that operates their Areas of Responsibility like a boys’ club A Company that fails to live up to its own goals as a it relates to Diversity and Inclusion In-Unit leadership incapable of communicating clear, concise, and consistent direction Leadership that can acknowledge that you don’t have support but is unwilling to give it to you even after months of asking — and still holding you accountable No raise even when KPIs are met Shady business practices. Have seen people pushed out so they could eliminate positions instead of paying severance There’s a reason that black, brown, disabled team members give this company low scores

Pros

the scheduling is flexible the environment you work in is cool(with the animals around you) none of the positions are difficult

Cons

ooh boy, is it terrible working here. there's no communication between supervisors if the supervisor or even the general manager is having a bad day, you're all gonna have a bad day (including firing people just because he's upset about something unrelated) all of the supervisors are over worked because some of them saw the light and left, and they refuse to replace them, spreading everyone more thin they give out raises arbitrarily, good luck getting an annual inflation raise. actually, good luck getting a performance review, period. I've seen other people ask for them, and it'll be scheduled, but somehow only on days that we're so busy that no one can take the time to have the meeting. I've seen this done numerous times. Management is very cheap. I get that it's a business, but usually the negative effects fall on you. (under-scheduling, things breaking, etc) HR is unapproachable and generally doesn't care No benefits at all, even some of the office people don't have paid time off or sick leave Your hard work will never be recognized here, a promotion usually just means a quarter more(if that) and under more fire and scrutiny from management
