Pros

-Hours worked cover your rent each month -Comission opportunies -Work prepares you for a professional office environment -Local management was incredibly supportive -Basic job requirements were not very challenging (easy to do for a student as long as you are personable and can control your temper)

Cons

-The hours you work are factored into your rent so they never give raises -commissions can cause antimocity in the office (people arguing their prospect got stolen ETC.) -Corporate/management would expect unrealistic closing rates out of employees who only get paid enough to pay their rent bill. -Responsibilities for random events will often go outside your job description, but again no raises are ever given.

Pros

Easy work. Minimal critical thinking involved. Opportunities for growth in the company.

Cons

On-call requirements. Office drama and cliques. Pay is not great, but the works is easy. They aren't paying you to think, they are paying you to work.

Pros

Great class A properties and on site living an option!

Cons

You won't get promoted unless you are sleeping with someone or are married to someone in the company. They do NOT pay well and you will work in the same position for 7 years before getting promoted...unless you spread your legs that is. The men in the company are pigs, one open slept with a woman, she got promoted! I know several property managers who slept with corporate jerks who got promoted too. Sad glad I left before working there long!

The Scion Group Response
10y
It is unfortunate this review was posted with no prior effort to make The Scion Group aware of the reviewer’s impression that advancement is based on inappropriate relationships. We would have gladly demonstrated the claim to be false. Although we do employ some married couples, these employees were married or engaged before we hired them; it certainly has not been a factor in promotions. We have extraordinary team members who demonstrate dedication, creativity and intelligence – these are what earn promotions. Advancement and relocation opportunities are made available to team members who demonstrate measurable achievement. They are not granted by any one person, but through a management team review of each person’s merit. We always welcome any concerns about perceived impropriety be brought to our attention so that we can investigate thoroughly and take proper action if needed. We’re proud of our high ethical standards and our positive company culture, and that will continue. Kate Cassidy, Director of Human Resources
