Zappos.com gave me many opportunities to expand and explore my talents and skills. That said, once Zappos.com became an "experimental company" trying to figure out the best organizational structure, using concepts such as Holacracy, Teal Organizations, and Market Based Dynamics, the company started to unravel. The company many of us helped build and grow was becoming a shell of its former self. Over the last 2 years, Zappos has reduced much of its workforce in a series of layoffs, with, what seems like, a focus on its most tenured employees. Based on second-hand information from former employees that have most recently been laid off, it is no longer a "great place to work".
