Pros

Good benefits, good product, some nice coworkers

Cons

Management doesn’t care about the production workers at all! They have what they call leads that are basically low paid supervisors and the supervisors do nothing! All they are doing is working us 12 hour days or 5 10s without caring about how we feel or how tired we are! The pay is laughable and they wonder why people keep leaving! They even made an inexperienced kid a supervisor because he wanted to quit! The poor people that moved here from Idaho are miserable because promises made to them were not kept!

I cant give you a good reason to work at Thorne.

Cons

This place is moving across the US from idaho to SC, they only gave the employees $5500 to move and made then sign a 2 year contract. They started the new employees at $15 an hour and kept the others at their pay of $10.50 an hour. That is so unfair! The company also makes you wait for 3 months to receive your benefits, there currently is no 401k (one will be provided in 2019 @ 4% match) they do not pay for your school, and you must work to accumulate vacation although they will word this differently to you when asked. The benefits are free but you still have to pay to meet your deductible. And if you add an dependent the monthly pricing goes extremely high. The manager talks to employees with smart remarks, and has called people stupid. This job is a joke. As far as advancement, what could you move up to be? I dont see much room for growth in this company at all!

Chasing the bottom line and controlled growth for future sale

Pros

Legacy employees are great, but there aren't many left after new management realignment.

Cons

Shift in culture and business approach after public sale and VC involvement has the company in an uncontrolled growth phase just chasing the bottom line. The people and company used to care about the mission, now it's widget creation and no time to care.
