Pros

Designated days off which is nice.

Cons

Constant micromanagement through the usage of check lists. Tilly's likes to managed people by creating a culture of fear in order to create meek employees who only know how to do checklists. This is where innovation goes to die and your dreams of creatively are squashed. I would strongly discourage people to work for Tilly's if they value self respect. If you think your job in retail right now is bad, it is literally 100% worse at Tilly's.

Pros

You get to bond with the other people who admit they’re suffering too

Cons

- company makes big changes without telling you or tells you last minute - company continuously increases in office days and only tells employees with little to no notice. Offering no support to those who cannot afford to go to the office more than what they were told they would have to when they were hired - higher ups get raises but barely anyone else has for the past 2 years -401k matching was taken away from us with no notice. Yet they continue to list it in their job listings - management is not supportive and borderline abusive/ rude to their assistant counterparts - was given double the amount of work to do as departments merged: was given no title change, no benefits or pay increase - no room for career growth and moving up despite how well you might do your job

Cool product Can’t think of anything else

Cons

If you like being demeaned and berated daily, this is the job for you. Sometimes DMs receive 5+ emails from the regional before 10 am, every single one filled with comments on how big of a disappointment you are. The VP of stores has been told how bad it is and still it doesn’t change. No respect for anyone as an individual in this company. When you have a revolving door for a position as high as DM there’s a real problem.
