Pros

At the local level, they care. Company Culture is pretty strong, if that is your thing. Home office is pretty great. Lots of good people.

Cons

Company Culture is pretty strong, if that isn't your thing. Upper management is out of touch with the management at each property. Incentives and bonuses are lower than other similar management companies. Maybe some district managers are good, but a couple I have met are lackluster.

Pros

A few good people to work with and some remaining good residents.

Cons

Lately someone in corporate has been carefully asking certain employees for good reviews to boost image!!! (These are all the latest 'good reviews here and elsewhere), While the company goes downhill even further. Still patching 40+ y/o A/C's, background checks are nearly laughable, we'll let anyone in to fill a unit for a few months until they are sent to prison for b and e. Even HR called and harassed a former employee multiple times (months after they quit due to bad environment), recording each conversation and trying to get them to say something, anything they could come after them for, How vindictive. I'll be leaving soon as well but not before documenting every nasty thing I can. There are fair housing violations galore besides terrible property and living conditions that our guys want to fix but aren't given resources.

As Vice-President of Human Resources, I would like to personally apologize for your less than exceptional experience with our company. I would like to address a few of the concerns that you raise regarding specific topics and hope you will reach out to further share your experience to help us continue to improve. The safety of our residents is among our top priorities; our company engages a third party that provides background screening for each who applies to become a resident. Annual capital improvement projects are continually in motion to ensure functioning, clean and safe amenities for our residents. All team members complete yearly Fair Housing training, and ongoing training through our mentor programs. The HR department phone system does not have the functionality to record conversations, and would not condone harassment in any form. I would encourage you to contact me at hr@timberlandpartners.com and place HR - Glassdoor Review in the subject line so that I may personally respond. We are dedicated to continual improvement and appreciate the time you took to provide feedback. We encourage all team members and residents to offer unbiased reviews and focus on building enduring and meaningful relationships.
