Pros

TimelyCare understands that money makes the mission possible. That truth can be uncomfortable to say out loud, but it is real. Universities want highly qualified providers and comprehensive support for their students — and they also need it at a cost structure that makes sense. Providing care at a fraction of what it would cost to build equivalent on-site staffing allows institutions to expand access without sacrificing quality. That financial model is not about cutting corners. It allows us to invest in technology, innovation, data infrastructure, engagement strategies, and talented people. Those investments directly benefit our university partners and ultimately the students we serve. We are not positioned as a replacement for campus counseling centers. We actively work alongside schools to promote their on-site resources and position TimelyCare as a complement and gap solution. The focus is expanding access, reducing wait times, and supporting students when traditional systems are stretched. Leadership is hands-on and deeply engaged. There is a consistent theme from executive leadership: “What more can we do to help?” The urgency comes from impact, not ego. Coming from corporate environments where profit felt disconnected from purpose, I have deep gratitude for the culture here. Unlimited PTO is real and respected. There is flexibility and trust. At the same time, this is not a place for bare minimum effort. The work matters too much. We are supporting students in vulnerable moments. That responsibility creates intensity, but it also creates meaning!

Cons

The pace is fast and expectations are high. If you are looking for a low-accountability or low-urgency environment, this will not be a fit. Because the mission is urgent and the company is growing, priorities can shift. That can feel overwhelming at times. There is always more to build, improve, and scale. The work can be emotionally heavy. We are in the mental health space. You have to care, but you also have to protect your own energy. I feel lucky this is understood by everyone around you and your coworkers will always jump in when you need them,

Pros

On an individual level, team members were friendly and supportive. They genuinely cared about helping one another and about serving the students and staff who relied on the services. Their compassion and collaboration stood in clear contrast to the broader leadership issues, and they often carried the heart of the mission in their day-to-day work.

Cons

Everything described stands in direct opposition to the company’s stated mission and values. There is a clear disconnect between what is promoted publicly and what is practiced internally. Many employees are afraid to speak up about the hypocrisy because those who do are labeled as culture killers. That kind of environment discourages accountability and honest dialogue. Overall, it creates a workplace that is unhealthy and unsustainable. Ironically, in a company centered around mental health, the culture itself can leave employees feeling like they are the ones in need of support.

Our mission is to foster student success and improve the health and well-being of campus communities, and it remains the foundation of our strategy and decision-making. We believe meaningful impact and financial sustainability go hand in hand, because serving students and campus partners at scale requires both. As we grow, we know alignment and trust are earned through consistent communication and everyday actions, not just words. We remain committed to strengthening transparency, encouraging candid dialogue, and ensuring our culture reflects the purpose that brings our teams to this work.

Pros

Please avoid working for this toxic company.

Cons

TimelyCare is a very toxic company with its awful and abusive leadership. Employees here are constantly harassed by the managers, and we’re often verbally abused and even yelled at. Being insulted by the managers is already the norm here. They don’t provide us with guidance or support. What they provide is negativity and toxicity.

We recognize that individual experiences can vary; however, broad statements suggesting that all employees are treated this way or that all managers engage in such conduct do not reflect the diverse feedback we receive across our organization. Claims of harassment or verbal abuse are serious and not aligned with the standards we hold for our leaders. We expect managers to lead with professionalism, accountability, and respect, and concerns that fall short of those expectations are addressed through our internal processes. While we won’t discuss individual situations publicly, feedback shared here is reviewed and elevated to senior leadership alongside broader employee insights. TimelyCare is a performance-driven environment where expectations and feedback are direct, and we remain committed to pairing high standards with clarity, support, and respectful leadership. Team members can also raise concerns through established internal channels so they can be reviewed appropriately.
