A Special Place to Work, Grateful I Took the Leap

Pros

I have worked at companies with negative cultures and leaders who were disconnected from the people doing the work. TimelyCare is the complete opposite. This company is truly a special gem. The team genuinely cares about the mission and the impact we are making for students. That purpose isn’t just something written on a slide , you feel it in how people show up every day. What stands out most to me is how willing people are to step in and find solutions. When challenges arise (and in a fast-growing company, they always do), individuals lean in rather than pull back. There is a strong sense of shared ownership. Leadership is also incredibly accessible. I have regular meetings where senior leaders are in the room, listening, asking questions, and working alongside us to solve real issues. In many of my past roles, that level of access simply didn’t exist. Here, I can Slack someone, ask for time, or jump on a call, and people are open and responsive. That approachability makes a huge difference. The environment is fast-paced, which I personally enjoy. There’s energy, momentum, and a feeling that the work we’re doing truly matters. It’s not perfect, no company is , but it is authentic, mission-driven, and filled with people who care. I’ve worked in many places, and I’m grateful I didn’t let negative reviews stop me from taking the leap. TimelyCare is a special place, and what we’re building is making a real difference.

Cons

Priorities can shift as the company evolves, which requires adaptability and resilience. If you prefer a slow moving or highly structured environment, this may not be the right fit.

It’s meaningful to see this experience reflected so clearly. We work intentionally to build a culture where mission, ownership, and accessibility go hand in hand, and where leaders stay close to the work and the people doing it. Growth brings change, and with that comes the need for adaptability and clear communication. We’re committed to continuing to strengthen both as we scale, while protecting the purpose-driven, collaborative environment that makes this work matter.

Forced 5 Star Reviews

Pros

You can commiserate with your friends!

Cons

The last review is especially astonishing. If you talk to most lower level employees, they would admit to how damaging working here has been for our mental health (the irony). These are good employees with long term experience in the industry and I can honestly say this is the most toxic job I’ve had in my career. People are dropping like flies. Top employees are leaving because they are fed up. If the job market wasn’t so bad right now, most people would be gone. Big name institutions are leaving because TimelyCare has been taking advantage of the huge profit margins from their inflexible pricing structures for years. New products are sold before they’ve been developed because profits are more important than ensuring quality. Notice how all the “5 star reviews” point to “how great the leadership team is”. A little suspicious, right? If you enjoy overworking, micromanagement, unrealistic expectations, and working in a space where everyone is scared to speak up, then this is the place for you! This leadership team talks about accountability all the time and rather than taking accountability themselves, they have meetings to delete the honest reviews left here, shift blame onto others, claim they always strive to improve company culture so the public optics are less bad, but ultimately do nothing to make change and support their employees.

The claims in this review do not reflect how we operate. We reject the characterization that quality or integrity are sacrificed for profit; our product development, pricing, and partnerships are built around delivering meaningful, sustainable impact for the students and campuses we serve. We recognize that our pace and performance expectations are high and not the right fit for everyone, and we remain committed to strengthening leadership, accountability, and the overall employee experience as we grow

Pros

My coworkers are somewhat supportive.

Cons

Working here is unbearable due to petty and insecure leadership. Leaders are shockingly incompetent and make disastrous decisions constantly. Thriving employees are often sabotaged, harming both individuals and the company. Leadership's behavior creates constant frustration and blocks any progress.

We understand that strong feelings can arise when leadership decisions or organizational changes are difficult. We hold leaders to high standards and make decisions with the long-term health of the organization and the students and campuses we serve in mind. Experiences can vary across teams and roles, and we remain committed to accountable leadership and to continuously strengthening how we lead, communicate, and support our people.
