Truly A Special Place To Be

Pros

I've worked for a handful of companies throughout my career and while other places have been "good", there is something different and truly special about TimelyCare. From the Executive Leadership Team who genuinely CARES and works hard to make TimelyCare a place where people want to come work, to the people you get to work alongside, and then to the problems you get to solve - it's fun, challenging, supportive, and makes a difference for the members we serve. Things I love about TimelyCare: 1. The Leadership Team - from executives to senior leaders - this is a group that continues to push barriers and boundaries and sets the bar high 2. The People - look around and you will see everyone around you is working toward a shared mission and goal 3. The Challenge - see a problem, work to solve the problem! You are encouraged to find solutions and try new things. If it doesn't work - fail fast, learn from the mistake and move on. It's really neat to look back 6 months and see the progress that continues to be made! 4. The Pace - Have you heard people say "I'd rather be busy than bored!" If so, come here! You will stay on your toes and for those who like the pace, it's awesome! 5. The Mission - We are impacting lives, for the better, and by the minute. Listen to our biweekly Care Stories and you'll get goosebumps. What we are doing here is turning lives around, saving lives, and being there when people need us most.

Cons

You'll see negative reviews here. This has not been my experience. Is it crazy busy at times? yes. Could we prioritize better? yes. Don't all companies have similar issues? YES! Take that feedback with a grain of salt. Talk to team members and you'll see these individuals are a small portion of the team. Overall, it truly is a special place to be.

It’s encouraging to see your perspective. We work hard to build a culture where mission, accountability, and innovation go hand in hand. The pace is fast, the challenges are real, and the impact on students and campus communities is meaningful. We’re proud of the leaders and team members who lean into that challenge, support one another, and continue raising the bar as we grow.

Pros

A few coworkers genuinely try to support each other, largely because leadership does not. The mission sounds good on the outside, which is why many people join in the first place. Beyond that, there are very few real positives.

Cons

This is an extremely toxic work environment with executive leadership that has completely unrealistic expectations and no understanding of work-life balance. Micromanagement is constant, and employees are not trusted to do their jobs without being watched. Small mistakes are treated as major failures, and people are regularly let go for minor issues with little warning or support. Unlimited PTO is a complete scam. The workload and pressure make it nearly impossible to actually take time off, and the high turnover conveniently means the company doesn’t have to pay out unused PTO when employees leave. There is effectively no work-life balance, and long hours are normalized. The irony of this company promoting mental health support for students while actively disregarding the mental health of its own employees cannot be overstated. Employee computer activity is tracked, creating a culture of surveillance and fear. Breaks are discouraged, burnout is constant, and leadership shows no accountability for the revolving door of employees. If I could give this company negative stars, I absolutely would.

We’re sorry to hear that your experience felt stressful and unsupportive. When someone describes their workplace as toxic or unbalanced, that’s serious feedback and not something we dismiss. We recognize that periods of growth and change can feel intense, and experiences can vary across teams and roles. We know not every experience will reflect the environment we aim to create. We wish you the best moving forward.

Pros

The mission and desire to help students is sincerely held by many people.

Cons

Leadership is insecure and spiraling. At a leadership offsite where a new vision was being revealed for the first time, the CEO asked for feedback. The request seemed genuine. It felt like a safe space. Someone brave (not me) raised their hand and respectfully asked how the new strategy would affect our current priorities, because we sometimes feel spread thin as it is. Did the CEO accept the feedback he asked for? Absolutely not. Instead he fired back “Are you calling me unreasonable?!” Then proceeded to tell us that he will not take his foot off the gas and anyone who complains does not belong here. He could not accept anything but positive feedback. The essence of toxic positivity, as so many of these reviews have mentioned. Guess how many other people spoke up and gave feedback that day? Zero. It was at that moment I knew that I did not belong there.

We operate in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, which requires trust, resilience, and a willingness to engage in direct and sometimes difficult conversations. This approach is not the right fit for everyone, but it reflects how we align around our mission to foster student success and improve the health and well-being of campus communities. We continue to invest in strengthening how we listen, communicate, and lead through these moments.
