Pros

PTO and opportunity to Work from home

Cons

5 layoffs of 50+ employees in last 5 years, always wondering if you will be next. Executives are arrogant and dismissive to colleagues when they roll through the 3 different campuses.

Pros

PTO, WFH, Gym, Location, and Building

Cons

Work life balance is a joke. They want you to drink the fitness cool aid but but mad when you are not available for an 8pm call...for a not urgent item. Please...There is nothing, short of full system failures, that would require 80 hour work weeks. Leadership is top heavy, but they keep laying off lower levels...and then hire another VP. Then this new person flies in, gets a hotel and food, every other week. Hmm...maybe hire someone local. Nashville is not the only place with talent. There are no promotional opportunities here. You watch people come in from the outside (old Healthways) because they know someone. It used to be a great place to work, but now it is just sad ad negative, super negative, oppressive even. Bullying here is rampant, though they say to call it out. Last time that was done, the person got demoted, and the bully ignored.

Pros

Tivity is a publicly listed organization where a COO’s portfolio is focused equally on external and internal stakeholders. Just like the CEO has a phenomenal team in place to cascade so does the COO. If she gets involved in day to day operations, she would not be in a position to implement the CEO’s 5 year plan which is what makes this organization successful. My experience has been quite the opposite. The COO is extremely personable, replies to emails, takes calls and meets personally. I urge you to connect and experience it in person since you mention you get a ‘feeling’. Approach her and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Cons

There are so many opportunities for success you could get complacent

While our leaders are focused intently on executing our business strategy, they are also focused on developing strong and meaningful relationships with colleagues, and learning how they can best provide support.
