Pros

Good benefits. Solid group of IT people with a high level of expertise. Projects are interesting and challenging. The mission is fine: send people to the gym. Work/life balance is respected although not so much lately. CEO is energetic.

Cons

New corporate identity with new management meaning a lot of people were laid off. CEO is too open about his politics. His Christmas gift to us was the book he wrote about himself and which turned out to be embarrassing. Company culture events tend to have that East Germany feel.

Thank you for your feedback and recognition of the high level of talent and expertise we have at Tivity Health, as well as the energy our CEO brings to the company. We know that the change that comes with launching a new corporate brand can be difficult, and it’s never easy to lose a fellow colleague, no matter the terms. We take our hiring process very seriously and strive to match each teammate with a role that will allow them to do their best work, and develop their career. We are disappointed to hear some of your comments, but hope that as a current colleague, you feel comfortable voicing your concerns with us so that we can address them directly.

Pros

Good benefits including fitness center privileges. New generous bonus plan promised by CEO. Flexibility for some colleagues to work from home. Great mission to help older adults become more active and healthy through the SilverSneakers program. CEO is passionate about this company and has stayed true to his promises.

Cons

Some, not all, of the leadership is more concerned with the bottom line than their colleagues. There is dissension between some leaders that is distracting from our focus. Favoritism is evident in some cases. Too many leaders in this organization to be truly productive and nimble. We are too top heavy. Morale is at an all time low.

Thank you for your thoughts. Colleague morale, culture, and leadership development are topics that our CEO and the leadership team discuss almost daily. We know that there are always opportunities for improvement, and as our CEO has shared, "if you get the culture right, the rest will come." Getting the culture right--and the right results--is absolutely our objective.

Pros

Good benefits; wellness / well-being / health / fitness corpoarte culture; colleagues can become like extended family; intelligent, hard-working, dedicated colleagues with strong work ethics (at least on my former team);

Cons

A more consistent / flexible work from home policy is needed, especially for colleagues whose job duties do not require them to be at the office; they really need a professional / career growth and development program - it's left to the colleague to find and foster their own mentorships and career development opportunities; little / infrequent option for promotions / advancements in certain positions without entering management or switching to another dept; company is often in flux / cnanging so stability (in positions/ organizational structure, specific business plans/strategies) can be elusive

Thank you for your thoughtful and thorough comments! We recognize the importance of continued growth, and are in the process of sharing our Individual Development Plan sessions throughout the organization (with rave reviews so far!) That said, we know that is one way to encourage continued growth, and we are open to suggestions as to how to expand even further--including cross-department/cross-functional interaction.
