Pros

Potential to make great money and receive dividends off credit card processing. Somewhat freedom of schedule.

Cons

Shady credit card processing. Total disregard for treating current customers well. Unrealistic expectations for the area you cover. Disconnected management and really hard to find the answers you need to do your job. They make you cold call on Zoom.

Thank you for sharing this review. Serving our customers is our top priority, and we will continue to staff our teams in a way that best supports this community. What you've described here is in direct conflict with our values, so I'm disappointed to hear this was your experience. Thank you for this important feedback; I'd welcome the opportunity to hear more. Please feel free to reach out to me directly- my virtual door is always open. - Joe Starzec, VP of Sales

Pros

nice people on the staff, the product is decent, and there is opportunity to make decent money

Cons

overworked, overworked, overworked. No work life balance, often no recognized boundaries from mgmt or customers, and you'll often get pulled in a million different directions.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this review, and for all of your hard work. Although I'm glad to hear there are aspects of Toast that you are enjoying, I'd like to dig into your concerns. I couldn't agree more on the importance of work/life balance, and I love to hear feedback from employees on how we can continue to improve in this space. I'd encourage you to put time on my calendar so that we can figure out how to best support you and the team. My (virtual) door is always open. -Joe Starzec, VP of Sales

Pros

Benefits were generally good. Unlimited PTO, good healthcare options, 401k Match. Toast is a great product that actually makes a difference for their clients. Toast believes in empowering their employees to learn and excel within their role. Remote flexibility before current work climate.

Cons

Long hours for OK pay. While applying for a position with a different team, the hiring manager went through the motions. Asked my manger if it was worth even interviewing me, never turned on their webcam for a virtual interview and never had any intentions on hiring me for that position. Treating an internal employee this way always rubbed me the wrong way after that when this was a highly respected manager within the organization. Supporting remote workers not located in one of the HQ locations has always been something that was lacking.

Thank you for taking the time to share this review. Although I'm happy that there were many aspects of your Toast experience that you enjoyed, it's disheartening to hear your feedback around internal mobility. We love seeing Toasters reach their career goals, and aim to provide all of the tools and resources needed to make this possible. I will be sure to share your feedback with members of our internal mobility team. If there's anything else you would like to share, I would love to discuss with you further. - Jeff Moore, VP of Talent Acquisition
