This part is not the company's fault, but it was a major con at the time and why I left. The previous company we took over underwriting services from had several underwriting requests that were not processed that caused a major backlog. What drove me away was the calls I received from some insurance agents. While many calls were pleasant, some bad apples were overwhelming. Those calls I was insulted and screamed at and it eventually became too much. Regarding the backlog itself: Until were all caught up and current, overtime was required. The first month or two months we were required to work 10 hours; then it was down to 5 months shortly after (I am unsure how long they continued this after I left). If you met those hours, you could either stop or work as many hours overtime as you wanted without limits (this part I took advantage of and had some nice pay days).
