Pros

Don't think there is a "Pro" for working at this place anymore.

Cons

I've worked for Torrent for almost 7 years now and now looking to move on from this toxic environment. Reasons; -Useless management -Micromanaging -inaccurate training -false promises -lies -no employee confidentiality -chaotic environment -no chance promotion or advancement -management enjoys belittling and intimidating -favoritism -cheap/unreliable phone system -unstable computer program -out dated technology -lacks employee communication This used to be a great place to work. After 2014 it started going down hill by adding unqualified managers who in turn brought aboard inexperienced and unprofessional new employees and mega attitudes.

Pros

The parent company, Marsh, he's a good company with plenty of opportunities available for growth and a mentorship program oh, and they are inclusive.

Cons

Torrent processes policies and claims for FEMA's write your own companies. Although you are expected to be a trained underwriter with a flood underwriting certification, this is primarily a call center job with heavy monitoring by managers and leads. There is no separate time to process policies. You are expected to process between calls. It is very stressful. You can take up to 40 calls a day and are expected to process 30 or 40 policies each day. This may sound simple, but you may only have an hour or less of time between calls each day.

Pros

Better a low job, than no job? A prez once said that, i think. None! It's hard to believe what leaders will do when given unchecked power. Marsh should be ashamed of this. Move the minimum wage jobs to a country with no human rights or fair expectations.

Cons

Everything. Hyper reactive, They promote kiss ups with no training or management skills. Any dummy can rise to the bottom in this organization. They get tax breaks from the government and then treat their working tax payers like modern day slaves.
