Prepare for chaos and spin.

Pros

Employee discount (40% most of the time, 60% some times) though there have been strict purchasing limits put on it within the last year. Pretty good health benefits and 401K returns. Most co workers are great.

Cons

Insane amount of turnover. Talent does not act expeditiously to fill roles or look internally for ambitious employees. People are passed over time and again for roles, or held back from promotions for absurd reasons. Employees are overworked, underpaid, undervalued and often gaslight into believing that if a mistake is made, it’s entirely their fault. If employees stay for more than two years, people are generally in awe. Culture of shaming and “cover your ass” mentality that trickles down from top tier leadership. Guessing this stems from the feeling of job insecurity no matter how well you’re performing. So much chaotic disorganization and lack of communication from all levels of leadership…which mostly affects middle management and below (long hours, no help, no compensation for going beyond role, etc.). Everyone is always spinning and no one steps up to take the helm to help provide direction or decision making. (See above). No on boarding/comprehensive training available. No career pathing, no consistency in organizational structures between departments/teams. Unrealistic expectations and timelines. Feedback isn’t heard or acted on. Both by leadership and by Talent. Random things are done to act like we’ve been heard, but it’s nothing that’s actually helpful. Example: complaints that employee wellness is suffering, Solution: Talent sends out 10 calendar invites for virtual magic shows during lunch time. Speaking of lunch time…good luck taking lunch breaks without someone getting upset about that. Lack of work/life balance, and unspoken expectation that you should never be the first to leave the office/sign off line. Expectation is 9 AM - 6 PM at the earliest…even without lunch.

Pros

-global brand appeal and the discounts are nice -team is reliable and people are intelligent. met some great people. -the office is in a nice location and convenient for many. -summer fridays are great. -nice resume builder experience

Cons

-some beloved managers and employees have moved on and gaps have yet to be filled -lack of training or learning opportunities in the last year -toxic behavior between some teams due to middle managers lacking in "buddy values" while some teams prefer their silos. a lot of passing the bucket and sometimes finger pointing -project managers who oversee developers can be intimidating to approach. can't be bothered with questions. -small/medium asks ignored until escalated to the top
