      Toxic Work Environment - Don't go down with the ship

      Manager level employees are great to work with!

      Cons

      Leadership is extremely disconnected from rank and file employees. It's like they are working for a different company. Out of touch. Company is not loyal to employees. Laid off 4% of workforce due to revenue declining, then months later bought a bar dartboard business. No growth opportunities. CEO is only looking out for himself.

      Thank you for sharing your thoughts. As you know, I’m a big believer in feedback and I’m glad that you’ve taken the time to share yours. We did, as you mentioned, eliminate a very small number of roles earlier this year, even as we hired in other areas. Company strategies do change over time and sometimes those changes come with adjustments to our team. We did also acquire Arachnid 360’s darts business, the largest darts business in North America, and we’re quite excited about how transformative that acquisition can be for TouchTunes. Our business is growing, through both our jukebox business and our new darts business, and while our reorganization and our acquisition both happened earlier this year, both are reflections of that growth, not otherwise correlated. I appreciate knowing how you interpreted the timing, and your impression of our leadership team, because that will help us more clearly communicate with our teams in the future. And I wish you the best of luck with your next opportunity.

      Pros

      No one cares if you come in or not Lax dress code

      Cons

      There is a lack of push for innovation. A lot of the old heads who have been around for a long time are afraid of change and kill all good ideas. Very dramatic folks in this place. There is so much constant gossip it's like high school all over again. Turnover rate is and will remain high. Additionally: Very low moral No 401k match Pointless meetings Terrible music playing in the office Awful music skew (Country)

      Thanks for your feedback. It is shame you didn't enjoy your experience at TouchTunes. With regards to your advice, it is my #1 priority to hire awesome people and I think we have done a great job of that since this review was posted more than 2 years ago. We completed our annual anonymous employee poll in March of 2018, and after reviewing the New York Office results, I am very glad that the vast majority of the New York team is having a much better experience with us. A few highlights: -95% of employees said their job was important to accomplishing the mission of the organization -94% said their manager was approachable and available -92% said their job gave them a sense of personal satisfaction -92% said they are always treated with respect while they are at work -87% said that employees are held accountable for achieving goals However, that doesn’t mean we can’t improve. That same poll had only 71% of employees saying that we clearly communicate our strategies and goals, so we have some work to do there. With all that said, overall I feel good about both the team and the work environment we have in the New York office, and TouchTunes overall.

      Hostile work environment, low morale and tons of turnover

      Pros

      Great CEO, some cool products and some really great people, unfortunately a few toxic ones make it a very hostile work environment.

      Cons

      Unethical executive management, tons of office politics, huge lack of communication and transparency, poor morale. They attempt to hire strong talent but have no ability to retain top-tier individuals who quickly lose respect of leadership. Turnover is very high and you get the sense a lot of current employees are job seeking.
