Pros

The people here are great to work with. Benefits are not bad.

Cons

Parking- parking at vanity fair and having to catch the shuttle and can add 25 minutes or more to your commute if leaving early and about 15 minutes in the morning and going home. The purchased new hospitals but you can’t post out to those hospitals if you’re a current Reading Employee

Thanks for taking the time to provide a review of your employment experience. Many employees echo your sentiment about how much they value their co-workers as well as appreciate the benefits we provide to employees. We know that parking at VF is not desirable but Security evaluates parking on a monthly basis to determine who they can move to on campus parking based on other movement. We also recognize your concern about not being able to post for positions at the 5 new Hospitals. We are committed to making that happen but because they are on different systems, we cannot easily transfer employees between Reading and the 5 Hospitals. We have made a few exceptions based on the situation. Please know our goal is to offer transfers from Reading to the new Hospitals in the near future once our systems are more aligned.

Pros

Interacting with patients for as long as I did has made me a better, more caring, understanding person and listener.

Cons

The management in Centran was despicable. Completely unwilling to work with people who are looking to better their lives and actively interfere with their schedules. Favored "lifer" employees and shunned those looking to build their career and educational opportunities in order to have better lives.

We are so glad to hear how our patients have positively impacted your life! I am sure you have done the same for patients by providing care and concern to them. Please know that we support employees growing their career at Tower Health and if you feel you are not getting the support to do so, we encourage you to meet with an HR Business Partner to share your concerns. Our Internal Transfer Program as well as our Educational Assistance Benefits foster the growth of employees. We know to attract and retain talented employees, we must actively support their career growth within our organization.

Thanks for your 5 star rating and recommending Tower Health as an employer! We are glad to hear that you are happy with your pay and those with whom you work! Tower Health is undergoing a lot of growth and while positive, we know it can be stressful at times. We encourage you to speak to your manager about how to best manage your workload as well as any competing priorities that you may have. We also encourage employees to always ask the following question when receiving a new work task, assignment or project, when is it due? Many times, employees assume it is to be done immediately when in actuality it is not. Having due dates allows employees to effectively manage their workloads. Thanks again for your review!
