Pros

Honestly didn’t enjoy anything about working for this company. The cons by far outweighed the pros. I did have a couple of nice coworkers though but that was about it.

Cons

- Hours cut after season. Went from working five days a week to only 1 or two if I’m lucky. - They barely train you. - Incredibly rude managers. - Super understaffed. They only schedule two closers. And when I’m scheduled, the other person scheduled usually calls in leaving me to do all the work and they refuse to call other people in. - Coworkers call in ALOT. And managers do nothing about it. - Low pay. - Managers REALLY push the whole selling of the credit cards. If you don’t sell them guess what? Your hours are getting cut! :) yay. - No loss prevention. People literally walk out with carts full of stuff and managers do nothing just shrug it off. That’s why the company is going downhill. And fast. - Minors get more hours then those who aren’t minors. The problem with that is minors can’t stay past 10. So that leaves only one or two people to close and clean the whole store. Which isn’t enough. - Managers don’t care whether you get a break or not. - Random schedule changes and at the very last minute.

Pros

Very flexible schedule, and can be a fun environment sometimes. The pay is also manageable for a high school part time employee (raise every spring)

Cons

There’s so many more cons than pros. Working with costumers can be fun. However, if you get a rude costumer and try to get a manager for help, the manager will make a complete fool out of you in front of everyone and make the whole situation your fault, when they don’t understand the situation yet. Getting people to sign up for credit cards is pushed WAY to hard. Getting good metrics for the company is one thing, but if you’re having a bad day and can’t seem to get them, they will really treat you poorly. The schedule doesn’t come out until the day before the next week, this never changes, the manager is very lazy. If you’re being scheduled something that you don’t like, you can try to talk to them, but they won’t listen. If you call off for a day, the manager will forget to take you off that day and when you have to call off for the day you asked off for a head of time, they will make it your problem. Another thing with scheduling, is the manager doesn’t even keep the “off book” at the store. You have to talk to an assistant manager to get anything done around there. They treat most of the employees very unfairly and very poor. If a MANAGER doesn’t like you, they will gossip that to other employees. I would never recommend working here to any of my friends, I’m sorry.
