Pros

Great insurance at Toys r Us. Starting salaries are respectable, raises are sad. Great People and Great Friendships can be made.

Cons

Raises are a joke at Toys r Us. The management can be very backwards at times. Sometimes DM and Managers will tell you different things.

Pros

If your a guy, hot moms. If your a lady, hot dads. Haha. Cute kids who are often unintentionally hilarious. They REALLY appreciate what they purchase! Popular w/family and friends w/children who want to use your 10 percent discount haha. Can make lifelong or at least good friends while working there (as well as have romance). I'd agree that the schedules are pretty flexible.

Cons

Asking the same 7 questions over and over and over again (wanna sign up for an tru credit card? wanna extended warranty with that? do u need batteries today? do u need gift receipts today? would u like to donate to (fill charity in here)? do you have a rewards card or would you like to sign up for one? what's your phone number? your also supposed to ask about if their kids are part of a birthday club tru has, but that one's not as enforced as the prior seven. No communication whatsoever when it comes to changes and new policies or promotions or whatever. Your pretty much on your own there. The intense pressure management puts on you to get five credit card sign ups, seven rewards cards, five buyer protections plans, etc. EVERY FRIGGIN DAY! There's almost always subtle hints that if you let them down your stock will go down on the team (ala less scheduling). Why is TRU too cheap to hire a greeter/security guard? It's no suprise shrinkage is pretty bad compared to Wal Mart or Target. Why can't TRU order products online to be shipped for customers to their stores like B&N does? Because it's a toy store, when adults get upset at an employee it's always worse because of kids disappointments compared to an adult buying something for themself at like Macys or something.
