Pros
I like working around mothers to be and babies, and they really help train you to learn the products that they sell. Many of the people who work her are a more mature crowd other retail jobs. Management lets you know what is expected of you, and it is nice to have concrete goals.
Cons
Lots of pressure from management to sell buyer protection plans, batteries, and to sign people up for thier loyalty card. While I like having defined goals, I feel like management doesn't appreciate a genuine effort when people aren't interested in buying the items that you are supposed to push. It really is a high-pressure sales job environment, for just above minimum wage. Also, they have many advertised promotions that actually aren't honored half the time, so I feel really bad for the customers that drove a long distance for a deal that was misleading or doesn't exist. The cash registers are from the 70's, or 80's, and require a manager overide for nearly everything. I find myself paging a manager every five minutes, then the poor customer has to wait.
