Pros

To see the joy on childrens faces when they get the toy they want, especially after seeing so many toys all around.

Cons

When you are not in season, there are less hours and the job is even more demanding, I was putting in at least 60 hours a week on salary. I would say it was below minimum wage.

Pros

It is a fun atmosphere. I feel I have a lot of atonomy in my job. I am able to make key decisions.

Cons

Limited room for growth if you do not want to be an ASM or SM. Hard to move to the corporate level. Pay is not great. Managers stay in office, and are never on the sales floor. Poor employee recognition. Not enough time to train and coach new employees

Pros

Overall a pleasant work environment. Generally a 9 to 5:30 work day Work life balance is generally good Senior Leaders do give regualr business updates.

Cons

IT systems are antiquated, which makes getting data difficult or very time consuming. More time is spent gathering/querying data than actual analysis. The size of the organization makes it difficult to implement change; or get compliance by other groups.
