Staff turnover is at an all time high including Store level management. We've lost all our managers and assistant managers, they've hired some new management but those new folks have no clue how to run a toy store during Christmas rush time, no experience. My store currently has no manager, the new assistant manager started 2 weeks ago, and another assistant manager started a month ago. Most of the staff has left when we started losing management and then more management started leaving as we started losing staff. Customer satisfaction surverys are at an all time low at our store. We don't even have an HR person to hire folks as our HR manager quit shortly after the manager did.
This whole situation started shortly after Walmart announced $11.50/hour or more minimum pay, and we lost several team members. New staff hires come in and corporate is unwilling to pay more than $8-$9/hour. Target now pays $11.50, heck even Burger King and Wendys are paying $11/hour in my town, yet corporate at ToysRUs is unwilling to pay more than $9. Very few people applying for the job, and the ones that are applying are very unproductive, uninterested in the job, just there to get a check and do nothing they aren't absolutely required to do. Without management or leadership the situation is even worse in this situation. Trucks are coming in and no one available to unload them, boxes all over the store left unopened. loading dock totally choked with backlog due to no staff.. Wish I could give them Zero stars. but 1 star is as low as I can go
