Progress is happening — just don’t forget the basics

Pros

Intro There’s been a wave of criticism aimed at this company — but to be honest, most of it has been directed at the CEO. Some people just hated his guts, for whatever reason. At one point, there were individuals actively undermining the company: forming secret circles, creating private chats, and trying to talk others down or discourage them. They didn’t like the company, they didn’t like the leadership — yet they stayed, collected paychecks, and became a toxic presence in the organization. Now that those people are gone, the entire atmosphere has changed. It’s improved across multiple teams, and it genuinely feels much better to work here now. Pros • The industry is exciting, with lots of smart, interesting people from all over the world • True remote work — no hybrid office politics or half-measures • Great people: the company’s most valuable asset is its team • Wins are recognized — people get credit for their successes

Cons

Cons • The company is evolving, but sometimes the pace of change is slow • Some processes are outdated, and it’s hard to know where to start or who owns what • As others have mentioned, the compensation isn’t very competitive • There are quite a few people with limited experience or for whom TNS is their first and only employer

It’s not as bad as some are trying to make it look

Pros

Is it all unicorns and rainbows? Of course not. But this is a company where I see myself staying for a long time. I’ve been with TNS for three years and have witnessed many changes — some good, some not so good. Like any organization, we face challenges, but we also have great opportunities. One of the things I value most is our leadership: they are transparent and direct. Now, not everyone takes directness well. Some confuse it with rudeness. Our CEO, for example, is very straightforward. He doesn’t dance around issues and isn’t afraid to “call a baby ugly.” In some negative reviews, you’ll see complaints about the company “no longer being a family.” That’s true — it’s not. TNS is a business now, and it operates like one: with goals, opportunities, and responsibilities. People here are held accountable — not for making mistakes, but for things like sloppiness, laziness, or dishonesty. That kind of accountability makes us stronger as a team. Our HR leader also sets the tone with what I’d call a real open-door policy. You can come to her with questions or concerns and speak openly. Over my three years, I’ve shared plenty of honest, even critical thoughts about the company’s direction — and not only was I not punished, but those conversations were valued. And our CEO? He’s approachable too. If you have a problem, you can talk to him directly. The only thing he asks is: “Don’t just bring me problems — bring a solution.” With all this being said: is TNS a perfect company? No. Is our CEO perfect? No. But are we heading in the right direction? Absolutely, yes.

Cons

The pay and the benefits are not great. They are fine, but there's room for improvement

The Truth Behind the Noise

Pros

I normally don’t write reviews, but after seeing the same vague 1-star comments popping up every week or so, I felt the need to speak up — because a lot of what’s being said just isn’t true. Let’s start with the facts: • We do still have unlimited PTO — no reduction. • Bonuses were paid out, and people who delivered results were recognized with raises and promotions. • Leadership remains accessible and transparent — even when delivering tough feedback. I’ve been at TNS for a few years now, and while it’s not perfect (no company is), the constant stream of short, negative reviews doesn’t reflect the reality of what it’s like to work here. What’s frustrating is that some of these reviews are clearly written based on out-of-context info, twisted to fit a narrative. It’s not helpful — and it’s not honest. This is a company that expects accountability, values open dialogue, and rewards performance. If you’re doing your job, bringing ideas, and growing — you’re going to feel supported here. I encourage anyone reading reviews to look beyond the noise. Talk to real employees, ask good questions during your interviews, and form your own opinion.

Cons

Now for a bit of a reality check: • The pay is good, but not exactly top-tier compared to big tech or high-growth startups. • Medical insurance is on the pricier side. • The 401k match is minimal, and there’s no ESPP. That said — it’s decent overall. I can feed my family, save money, and I feel like I’m building something meaningful here. There’s also a strong culture of accountability and transparency, which I personally value — though I get that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. So no, it’s not a perfect company. But the constant 1-star hit jobs don’t tell the real story either. If you’re serious about your work and want to be part of a company that’s evolving and open to honest dialogue, TNS is worth considering.
