Pros

Amazing coworkers, interesting programming, the best campers in the world, constant opportunities for personal growth and learning. Friendly work culture, encouraging of new ideas and opportunities.

Cons

Work is overwhelmingly intense, with few breaks and little allowance for time off to recover. Burnout rate is high. Inter-team bickering is high, as is workplace drama. Senior management is difficult to work with unless you're willing to conform to their ideas and personal culture.

Connecting kids with nature and helping them grow in independence and skills is really rewarding work. School year employment can have flexible hours / schedules. Community is tight and supportive with lots of opportunities for staff to learn new skills.

Cons

It can be physically demanding. Summer schedule is intense and requires a lot of focus and dedication.

Great community and amazing infrastructure makes designing and running programs easy and fun. If you have a good idea for a camp, or a class management will make it happen!

Cons

There aren’t really any cons in my mind. I have worked in this industry for quite awhile, and compared to other operations trackers is great!
