Awful Place To Work For

Pros

No one works past 5pm and free soda.

Cons

If you want to ever advance in your career, do not buy the hype you’re sold in the recruiting/interview process. This company is tanking and it has a lot to do with individuals in management who should never have been promoted. Do a quick look on LinkedIn, and you will see that the majority of the employees are recent college graduates. The reason for this is, Trader is low on he payscale and they know entry level applicants will do anything, even unethical, to get the job done.

It's disappointing to hear from an employee who sees things in such a negative light. That said, if leaving at 5pm is a priority for you, consider how that mindset may be standing in your way wrt career progress. There's a lot more going on at Trader you can tap into to show your value and develop your skills, if you're willing to put in the effort. I will ask that you bring any unethical behavior to the attention of your manager or the HR team immediately, as that's not something we tolerate as a company. Our HR hotline (# in guidebook) allows you to make that report anonymously, if you're more comfortable. The HR team is also available to discuss your other concerns, at any time.

Pay. Sales salary does not increase and commission structures change. Not a lot of growth opportunities.

Thanks for this positive review. Your success is important to us. We do regularly evaluate commission plans to ensure they are mutually beneficial and aligned with product / market opportunities. We hope you're sharing feedback about pay and commission structure with your manager, and the HR team is always available to listen if you're more comfortable talking with us.

Pros

-The people here are amazing to work with, it's a fun environment -Easy work, not necessarily anything difficult -Office timings 8:30-5:30 -Chill, Laid back, fun environment

Cons

-Very limited opportunity for any growth, it's a good job to keep while you're still looking for other opportunities. You won't get to learn a lot unless you're working as a web developer, or programmer -Salary is very low compared to salaries in other companies -Hours aren't flexible, you can't leave early if you decide not to take a lunch, or come in early - Potential of raises are very slim

Thanks for the positive comments. If you haven't talked with you manager about growth opportunities and competitive pay, those are both areas where we want to excel on behalf of our employees. If you talked with your manager and still have concerns, stop by and talk with the HR team (Matt or Ashley) so we can help out.
