As we have just introduced a new brand we have to have an aggressive strategic agenda in order to implement it to our employees. Thank you for your feedback.

Not a good environment to work

Pros

Benefits are similar to other financial companies.

Cons

Transamerica buys companies, uses the knowledge of the people to finish the projects and then lays off or closes the facility and people from the previous company. The knowledge and people are assets and not recognized for that. Company structure is siloed and employees only know the specific details of their job and are not willing to work out side the box and improve processes in anyway.

Thank you for this feedback. Although our benefits are very similar to other companies, we do offer a pension to our employees. Most recently we added an option for pet insurance – how cool is that? As a large insurance and financial services company, we must stay competitive with other similar organizations. This is why we are updating our technologies to better serve our customers. There are many opportunities to network with other employees from other areas to learn more about what they do. We have a number of Employee Resource Groups (ERG), volunteer opportunities and communities pages. It might sound cliché, but you never know when you meet someone, if they will be a help to you down the road.

Although your experience with us does not appear to have been a positive one – we do appreciate the time taken to provide feedback. We recently made significant changes to our benefits program. The changes have provided flexibility to employees so they can choose a plan that best suits their individual need. We also added additional products such as car, home and pet (yes pet) insurance. The overall feedback has been positive, but we understand that this is an important topic for everyone and is a constant ‘front-of-mind’ for us and how we can continually improve benefits.
