Pros

Non-toxic culture. People are nice. OK benefits right out of school.

Cons

Leadership is in an echo chamber. Employees do not want to return to office. It is clear as day. Yet leaders are pushing a rah, rah fake-excited message to RTO. They are either out of touch or just simply do not care what employees have to say. Not to mention gas prices and inflation. I didn't receive a raise that kept up with inflation so I'm losing money going into the office. Pay is low for the industry. Embarrassingly low. People leave all the time because of it. Yet we brag about how much money we donate to charities, spend millions on a golf tournament, etc. How about paying your people what they are worth? Culture can be fratty, at least in the unit I work in. Old white men that like and promote other white men. Great. Benefits are OK. They can't hold a candle to what other companies are offering. I'm not sure Travelers is even aware of that. They still tout their benefits as A+.

Pros

There are a lot of good people.

Cons

Employee’s over 50 with 20, 30 and 40 years of service are being fired (without cause) at alarming rates with TRV destroying lives of loyal personnel all to reduce expenses for the bottom line. TRV has become a company unwilling to utilize the knowledge and experience of dedicated employees.

Pros

Good benefits and work-life balance

Cons

Having worked in HR for several years, I was able to see compensation across the enterprise. Vast pay inequities exist across the organization. New employees will usually benefit from higher salaries when joining the firm. However, long-standing employees, even when strong performers, aren't acknowledged with sufficient raises.
