Pros

Can find a couple of good colleagues here- before they are laid off

Cons

If you are a minority, bad news. Pregnant women occasionally get fired Big bosses always get their perk to hire and keep their personal friends (and their kids)--none minorities Minority consultants occasionally get a discount in salary payment. Work 12 hours, paid 9. Work 4 weeks, paid 3. Minorities, including African Americans, occasionally face blatant workplace bullying. Big bosses never need to learn a lesson--the board is not watching

Pros

A lot of tricks, none smart enough to prevent getting caught

Cons

Directors are supposed to trick new comers into working long hours but HR will not pay for all the hours. Top talents are leaving. Directors are supposed to also make sure that the top talents are needed only for a short time and the "most trusted" in the team can live off the work completed by the top talents. The "most trusted" people are trusted because they or their parents are friends of the top brass---they never get laid off but they are not very helpful either, to put it lightly. This 'strategy' relies on the ignorance of the clients.

Limits the number of hours you can charge after making you work long hours

Pros

aggression toward those who ask questions but not smart enough to get away with it

Cons

Makes you work long hours but limits the number of hours you can bill them. New comers would do it because they try to impress the boss. But after they impress the boss, they will be laid off anyways---low performers with a personal relationship with the big boss will stay and try to reuse your work for the next season. Make sure you check your paystub carefully---HR would even skip your salaries. Yes, they have been doing this for long and most of the clients do not have expert staff to catch them cheating.
