Pros

TriNet was a great place to work. The culture and the people made it fun and exciting and I enjoyed how we helped my clients.

Cons

I am not sure what is going on but there is ongoing change constantly and a complex sale has become even more challenging because of internal hurdles. I look around and barely no anyone because of the high turnover. The service model change mid pandemic has been a disaster. The company that I loved so much no longer seems to exist. Great leaders and people in all departments are leaving everyday and there is little accountability from leadership.

Lackluster Company in Technology

Business Outlook

Pros

The technology side of the company is split between product and IT. There are a handful of skilled people scattered in teams throughout. You might get lucky and get to work with one or two. If you are very highly specialized or a junior technical person then this company might be a good fit for you.

Cons

It is a nearly complete seat-of-the-pants technology operation. For every "job well done" there are at least a dozen "look-what-happened". A handful of highly competent individuals are running task to task to keep the lights on. If you thrive in this setting then this may be the place for you. It is a toxic working environment. Most of the leadership are from HP and a large contingent are legacy IT employees. Most stubbornly resist change to current technology and technology management techniques (instead relying on vendor supplied knowledge), few demonstrate relevant knowledge in business, and few are ethical and competent communicators.

Pros

-401K match vests immediately. -Some nice employee events. -Many great colleagues. -Promising new hires in senior positions

Cons

Where to start... - If you aren't sure if your potential boss is someone you'd like to work for, no matter what the offer is, walk away. It's not worth it. Who you report to has way to much power to make or break your time at TrNet. A number of managers, directors and VPs don't know how to manage people to an extent that it's hard to believe they were trained at all. They do not support their teams, there is heavy favoritism that is not based on performance and one in particular who is rude to his employees and can often be heard swearing and yelling inappropriate things on the phone. It seems that the longer you've been at the company, the more you can get away with. -CEO Directs do not communicate well with the company as a whole. -There is high turnover so some projects and processes lag or change so much that they no longer make sense. -The culture in the larger offices is generally positive but I've heard that the smaller offices can be unpleasant. -You will get emails almost every day saying that some part of the platform is down or underperforming. Knowing that made me uncomfortable in sales.
