Pros
Much of the process of seeking a new job is frustrating and some of that cannot be solved by any employer – the waiting and the wondering just cannot be removed from the process. Further, especially in my case, the hiring decision makers are busy and have approvals (sometimes numerous approvals) to get to the finish line. That aside, what CAN be done better – and WAS done better at Trintech – is the kindness, courtesy, and communication of status along the way…that makes a HUGE difference. The biggest difference, though, was crossing the bridge to the onboarding process – which was amazing and expertly executed in every way. The ‘proofing’ (background check, substance abuse testing, etc.) was handled by outside companies as usual but I was kept updated along the way…the scheduling for first day and process of hitting the ground running was AMAZING – orientation was really an orientation (everything from basic intro and IT to benefits). I have been at very large organizations who could learn a lot from Trintech…making the transition to a new job easy and giving new employees the information to get oriented to their new surroundings and the sense of stability they need to succeed. That is much more difficult than it sounds but if, like me, you have ever changed jobs intentionally (not being forced to change), it validates the decision without delay. There is also a bonus – this is the nicest group of people I have worked with in my professional life…they are kind, understanding, helpful, and the kind of people you would choose to work with if you knew everything before deciding. I have not been at Trintech very long – as nobody promised me a rose garden – but this culture is so obvious, it is hard to not be positive. This is a cool company, very skilled in their field, with a disciplined yet energetic feel, that is growing super quick….what more does anyone want? Long way to go but so far so good…kind people – how refreshing!
