Pros

There really are too many to say. first place i've ever worked that makes benefits available from day 1. First time in 20 years I was given an actual structured "welcome to company" orientation that answered questions it has taken me YEARS to get answers to at other jobs. The management team is constantly working to make sure you are happy, get along with your peers, feel challenged, etc. *commence jaw drop* this company is completely focused on employee morale and the complete opposite of anywhere i've ever worked before. delightful

Cons

the pay is just OK - but well within industry standards. Open cube setup promotes teamwork/sharing but can be a bit distracting for someone like myself who prefers quiet and has ADD - but it really does help to keep open communication lines within team.

Pros

Trintech is a great place to work and has an awesome company culture. We have regular nerf wars, the break room is stocked with drinks/ snacks and some people even ride hoover boards around the office. The VPs and C-level execs have an open door policy and are genuinely interested in helping you to grow your career. All the people that I have come in contact with here are authentic and want to do what is right.

Cons

Trintech has experienced explosive growth over the past few years and is positioned to grow more in the coming years and with that comes growing pains. If you need a rigid corporate structure/corporate culture then this is not the place for you. In order to thrive here, you need to be the kind of person that sees opportunity where other people see ambiguity.

Pros

You get a stable salary. You won't have to work very hard.

Cons

There is very little chance of doing new development. It's mainly a maintenance shop. Everyone seems burnt out and apathetic. Engineering staff are second-class citizens.

Two years ago, we pushed the accelerator on product development. As a result, we doubled the size of our engineering teams and we continue to see a lot of opportunity ahead! We carved out resources to focus on providing existing customers with a better experience (maintenance) without "new" development impacting resourcing. It isn't easy to ask folks to do both without one being sacrificed, often at the discretion of the developer's desires. We get the reviewer's point; we do understand that designers like to work on different things. We are recombining all engineering resources into feature/function scrum teams while also ensuring that the customers who trust us with their continued business realize a better experience with every release. In preparation for this move, we have also been investing in our teams. This year we have conducted dedicated onsite training in Angular, Azure Services, Power BI and advanced .NET coding to facilitate development and growth along with internal mobility. We will continue to make these investments and to hold our managers accountable for employee development. We value the feedback Trintechers provide and look to incorporate their voice in continuous organizational improvement strategy. We also want to thank those engineers who have dedicated the time and work into making this transition possible, and who go above and beyond every day.
