Pros
If traffic is a concern they will let you make up your own hours. As long as you work 40 hours in a week, they don't care when you get there or go home. The pay is based on performance not a normal hourly wage. If there is down time, you don't get paid.
Cons
If there is down time, you don't get paid or get sent home. If you make a mistake, you pay them $15 each mistake. You also have to correct the mistake out of your own pocket. For example, you get a project and they will pay you $25 to complete it. If the spacing or lines aren't perfect, you not only pay them $15 for the error, but if this project took you an hour to complete, and you now have to fix it with another half hour, Congrats you just made $15 for an hour and a half of work. The training is horrible - They have you sit there and either figure it out yourself, or have someone else who is way more incompetent training you. You learn said project that you are expected to do lots of work on, only to be put on something else a week later. You might not come back to that project for another 6 months down the road. You are expected to be perfect at it considering you have done it in the past. They don't care if you did it once or twice you have to be perfect at it. The turn over is pretty high considering the working conditions, and the layoffs back in December and January. They "ran out of work", sent people home and told them they don't have work for them so you no longer work here. They sell you on these big promises and big ideas to get you in the door, and don't deliver what they promise you.
