Pros

Salary and benefits is the only good thing about this company

Cons

I had a terrible experience with the company. There is a lot of short staff, the wait time to reach to branch support is about over an 1 hour. You get constants complaints from HST client they are facing fraudulent activities in their accounts. Most of the new accounts that you open are instantly fraud. There is no strong support system when you are opening business account. Anybody can come into the branch and open a business account without goin to the process of reviewing all of the documents that is actually required. The training is all virtual and not much to say because I didnt learn anything effective from the program. After your 90 days, once you finish all of your training, the branch operation will assigned your authority limit. ** IT TAKES FOREVER FOR THEM TO COMPLETE THIER ONE JOB**Luckily, I have outside experience from banking with another company because I wouldve been lost with Truist. The time hours depends on your manager, hence, it is expected to come in at 7:50 am on Monday and Fridays. They also do "flex hours" where if you have to work on a weekend, since of giving you one day off you can either come late in one day or leave early one day of the week. Vacation hours are not approved from your manager, it goes to a higher department. Make sure you keep a list of all the training you complete because if you make one little mistake they will come after you. My only advice is to keep a paper trail of all the conversation you have with whomever.

Pros

Coworkers are friendly and they make the day much better. I chose this job bc I wanted something long term and it is possible to move up in position

Cons

Every location is always understaffed and the new people they hire always quit or do not make a good fit for the environment. Some people have been here for over 10 years but choose to leave bc of how over worked they are with the staffing issue. Majority of the days you are working with one other person meaning one person on the platform and another on the teller line. Depending on the location both areas get very busy and overwhelming.
