Pros

Relaxed dress code Corporate events are fairly entertaining, including prize give aways...if you get a cruise though, don't expect to keep it. Immediate management seems to be very good at delegating authority and is usually very straightforward and I found never abrasive to deal with , as a matter of fact I can honestly say I enjoy working with everyone that is in charge of the warehouse.

Cons

This applies only to the warehouse. Shrewd, devious, manipulative tactics that short change employees. I don't blame my immediate supervisors for this, as I believe this came from the higher ups. For example, creative "number fudging" that will deny many hard working employee bonuses. Forget the fact that you have to pick in an obstacle course (some aisles have pallets upon pallets lined up in front of very large items that need to be picked), never mind the many times you came in during inclement weather and ensured that the customer's items got shipped THAT DAY, disregard all of the extra shifts you picked up (sometimes five days straight in the warehouse in which you'll end up working ten+ hour days) and the time you missed out with your family, who cares about that? Instead, lets zero in on alternative numbers, essentially the minimal line numbers of areas in which you worked the least. Exploit the weakest line and utilize that to exclude you from a paltry 1-3% bonus (it goes as high as 10 but nobody ever sees that). Turn over rate is insane. On average if three people are hired, you can be assured that at least one of them will quit in 1-2 weeks. Because of this constant turn over rate, the overall work production suffers and rumor has it the owners are upset about that. It's a warehouse so its hot as hell during the summer, cold as the tundra during the winter but if you worked in warehouses you should be used to that.

Hi there. Thanks for taking time to leave your feedback. I see that you’re frustrated, and I hope I can help provide insight. We strive to reward all performers across the organization. However, we realize that the criteria for bonuses may not be clear to every employee, and we are analyzing the bonus system structure to ensure that it is transparent. I know that any turnover can feel defeating to the team that's left to cover, but in fact, our turnover rate has improved year over year. You're right that the founders of Turn5—our CEO and Chief Marketing Officer—are focused on decreasing turnover and making Turn5 the best possible workplace for employees. As you pointed out, we work together A LOT, and we should love the environment. And regarding the temperature in the warehouse, we've made a significant investment to outfit the warehouse with fans designed specifically for that type of space to make the temperature as comfortable as possible during the warm summer months, but we will always have temperature variations. As you said, it’s a warehouse. I'm sorry that you're feeling frustrated. We want to support you as you do amazing work every day! I encourage you to talk to your supervisor and other leaders, or feel free to come to HR with concerns. We'd love to hear from you. (That's the reason we troll this website!)

Hi there. Thanks for your review. I’m glad you think that Turn5 has a great atmosphere and cool perks. I assure you that we take our employees’ pay very seriously. That’s why we evaluate all corporate roles, responsibilities and salaries twice per year. We ensure that salaries are in line with—if not beating—the market standard. We also aim to reward high performers—those who have added new skills or taken on additional responsibilities that have contributed to the team. In our Contact Center, we implemented a Career Path Program for most teams to reward and advance deserving team members. Distribution Center employees can receive pay increases based on performance, cross-training and certification. Medical plans—and their costs—are complicated and increasingly difficult to manipulate. However, I’m happy to say that we did implement a 5%-30% (depending on plan/tier) cost reduction from 2017 to 2018 for two out of our three medical plans, and we have some enhancements in store for next year. Best of luck to you in the future!

Pros

The company does a nice job of seeking out talented like minded people and weeding out the knuckleheads. If you perform well you are recognized and rewarded.

Cons

People in power posturing, shooting themselves in the foot. The subordinates scramble to bandage the wound only to find management is reloading.
