Pros

Discounts on moving services and equipment if needed. They also do a lot for the community and veterans which, is admirable.

Cons

The worst experience of my working career. Management are tyrannical, micromanaging, demeaning, mistrusting, and just plain awful. Rampant nepotism and favoritism. I did not last long, which was way too long in that toxic workplace. Now if I can only erase the entire experience from my memory bank, that would be awesome.

Pros

Their work from home program is tops. Management is very supportive and easy to talk to. Advancement opportunities seem to be there for those that seek them.

Cons

Pay scale for customer service is low, with no pay raises available for the work from home associates. I hate hearing the managers from the entities talk bad about part time employees with U-Haul with customers. It is very demeaning, and unnecessary. We are not contract employees, but work for U-Haul, and some of us take pride in our work.

Pros

Good dental and vision, decent healthcare. I learned a lot while not having a life.

Cons

Management philosophy equates to treating everyone regardless of skill level, experience, and seniority as if they are all interchangeable sheep. They are attempting to upgrade their technology to todays state but very poor communication regarding implementation coupled with next to no education regarding use of new software have left most of the aging staff confused. Which leads me to 2nd con...aging staff needs to adapt or retire. Also no 401k matching. They have an esop but the contribution is miniscule. Count on less than 2K per year. Almost forgot, you start out with two weeks of vacation and management looks down upon taking that vacation time. Management is very shady, politically backstabbing...theres a word that sums it up. Narcissists.
