Over worked and under appreciated.

Recently renovated offices. Clean working environment. Generally, good clients to work on. Decent coworkers. There are a few good managers to work under.

Cons

Required to report to too many people. Management has no clue how much work their staff has. Difficult to find time to use vacation days. The office is very "gossipy," it reminds me of the games played in high school. Everyone is out for themselves and there is a lack of positive mentoring. Everyone secretly hates it there but puts on a good show in the office.

Good Compensation and Good Benefits

Management was very unapproachable. In the NY region offices, partners did not talk to staff and were not very welcoming. When I was an employee there a Partner complained how they did not want to do a diversity training after their was an incident at that firm. Management is also political and expresses their views and i have felt uncomfortable multiple times. I did not grow here, I don’t think they focus on building career growth. If you’re an entry level associate go for a bigger mid size firm, Ive worked a couple and they put more effort into their employees, even though they are bigger, they appreciate their employees and have methods in place to help them grow. Also, they lack diversity and i don’t think UHY has ever made that a priority in their mission and hiring.
