Pros

The pay is better or on par for most banks. The benefits package is good. They provide lots of opportunities for training.

Cons

You must surround yourself with the people with the power and run in the right circles to get promoted. Promotion can be subjective, and you have to have a large project or something that is OKR level. The benefits have decreased over the last couple of years. The health insurance offering is half of what it used to be. There is a lot of nepotism at USAA. They have removed the work-from-home option and are forcing everyone back into the office. The culture is not a good fit for everyone.

Pros

Pay and benefits are alright.

Cons

4 days a week forced RTO is a terrible way to treat employees after three years of evidence that WFH is effective. Too many layers of management. Bureaucracy is out of control. Technology plan is nonsensical and wasteful.

Pros

Good salary, benefits, and great coworkers.

Cons

Not enough resources to complete the amount of work assigned. Forced Return To Office (RTO). Layoffs have increased and cut critical resources needed to support the infrastructure. Environment and moral has become toxic.
