Pros

USAA is a great company if you want job security and stability. They’ve always been known to offer less than stellar compensation, but their benefits had previous to 2021 been amazing. They offer excellent maternity/paternity benefits, education benefits, and an 8% match for 401k.

Cons

They’ve degraded their amazing benefit package, and now their total compensation is below par to similar sized companies. USAA will overwork you by piling on more work and responsibilities without any compensation change/bonuses/promotions to go along with the extra work. I’ve worked as many as 3 roles at once for months without receiving even a spot bonus, and promotions are slow and hard to come by. They will not promote you based on aptitude or merit. It’s all about time in service with USAA even if you outperform your peers.

Pros

Work & life balance is alright.

Cons

- benefits going downhill fast - current CEO cares about nothing but cutting budget. This company has gone downhill fast ever since he is a CEO - bonus going downhill - no promotion - crappy health insurance - this company has a hard time to hire real talent not to mention they don’t know how to keep talents
